Biography and Services

Jennifer Shneiderman, LCSW, BCBA, Principal at Ask A Behaviorist, received a Master of Social Work degree from USC in 1989. She worked extensively in health settings for the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, specializing in crisis intervention and adjustment to illness. In 2000, Ms. Shneiderman began working for the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health as a Psychiatric Social Worker and Case Manager for the Healthy Families children’s health program. At that time, Ms. Shneiderman became interested in the field of Applied Behavioral Analysis and its efficacy in treating childhood behavioral and developmental disorders. She obtained a graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from the Pennsylvania State University Graduate School of Special Education. She has lectured extensively on the topic of behavioral analysis and the treatment of childhood disorders at universities and community colleges. Her private practice includes, but is not limited to, conducting functional assessments, developing and implementing individualized in-home treatment plans, conducting observations in school and community settings, parent coaching, and consulting with various members of a child’s treatment team.
