Applied Behavioral Analysis
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is based on the principles of the science of behaviorism. As a basic science developed in clinical settings, behavior has been proven to be observable and measurable, following natural laws. ABA was then developed to bring these findings into practice in natural settings to improve socially significant behavior, teach functional skills, and monitor and evaluate progress. Over the course of time, a variety of ABA methods have been developed. These techniques can and should be blended, and programs individually tailored, to address the needs of each child and family.
